Share with a group

Summary

  • Create CloudAhoy groups, and invite people to them.
  • Join CloudAhoy groups.
  • Share any flight with the entire group.

You can create a Group, and invite pilots to the group. Groups are created with policies. Pilots who are members of the group can share flights with the group, and – according to what the policy allows – the shared flight will show up in the flights list of each group member, or only in the flight list of the administrators of the group.  This mechanism is useful for flight schools, CFIs, clubs, squadrons, etc.
See this topic to learn how to create and edit Groups.
Share a flight with a Group

  • Debrief the flight in the Debrief tab, or select a flight in the Flights tab
  • Click  the “Share” button (on the top bar)
  • A dialog opens. Select “buddies/groups”
  • Check/uncheck groups that the flight should be shared with.
  • Click “Save”.

This flight is now in the flight list of the either the admins only, or all the group’s members, depending on the policy as defined by the group admin(s).
