These are general instructions on importing into CloudAhoy GPS data from another iOS app.  The CloudAhoy iOS app supports import of GPX or KML formats.

Different iOS apps will have different interfaces, but if the app supports GPX or KML data export then the following should work:

  1. ShareIn the app, select the flight (if applicable) and tap “Share”. See an example of a Share button on the right – your app’s might be different.
  2. The app will present you with a menu of apps into which it can export. CloudAhoy should be one of them.
  3. open in CloudAhoySelect CloudAhoy.
  4. CloudAhoy will pop up and ask you to confirm the upload.

The flight will now be uploaded automatically to your CloudAhoy account, ready to be debriefed.

Important: the flight will be imported to CloudAhoy using the current settings of pilot names, tail number and remarks. If the imported flight’s setting is different, you can change it in the CloudAhoy app before the import, and you can also edit the flight afterwards (from the Flights tab).

Via a file
Some iOS logging apps do not support the Share mechanism, but can email you a GPX or a KML file. To import that data, email the file to yourself, download it into your computer, then import it into your CloudAhoy account as described below.
